This morning we went to the Central Park Zoo with Kate's friend, Louise. David and I went years ago, but I really forgot that we have a big, normal zoo right in our backyard. We are going back next week.
Kate's favorite zoo activities at 13 months:
- feeding the goats in the children's zoo
- watching the "moo" cow eat
- crawling on the turtles
- watching the polar bear swim (momma's favorite too)- you can watch the video of the bear swimming laps here. he just kept doing it over and over.
- eating lunch (she IS my child, you know)
- walking, walking, walking: some on her own, some with handheld assistance, some behind the stroller, as if she is pushing it - so funny.
Great times for all!

so cute! i can't believe she's walking! yay kate!!!
whenever i take the M66 crosstown, i look down at the zoo and always say "we should go there!" :) now i'm more determined!
oh, and by the way, i think i always said "what," too, in "twinkle, twinkle." hehe. i'm the worst at confusing words though, so don't feel bad! we all do it :)
yeah....the zoo! what fun.
