March Madness

Trying to catch up a bit, can you tell? I am going to post-date them, so that they are in sequence and I can actually remember what has happened this year. Here we go.

March was an exciting month, to say the very least.

* The first weekend of March, I got away for a personal retreat. The new year pretty much kicked my butt between each member of our family being sick the entire time at least once with no break in between, the cold winter in NYC that always feel like an eternity, hearing the news of Auntie Barbara, traveling back and forth to Texas, and just being a pregnant and hormonal woman and trying to make major life decisions. So, I figured that it was time to get away by myself to do some business with God and meet with him face to face. It was the best three days I have had in a long while. SO much more on that to come.

While I was away. David and Kate had some special bonding time. They adore each other - if you can't tell by the pictures.

Their activities included:

1. Eating out.

2. Walks through the park...in the snow, of course.

3. Making smoothies - Kate's favorite thing to eat/drink.

4. Riding the bus...everywhere! Kate's favorite thing to do.

5. Then she got sick, just in time for mommy to come home. :(

* I somehow hosted two baby showers during the "down" time for very dear friends here. There is a lot of baby celebrating going on around here, to say the least. :)

* Then, my fabulous cousins, Lori and Aaron, came for a NYC visit for a week! It was fantastic to see them and share our crazy city life with them. We had such a fun time together. I am pretty sure their "view" of New York will never be the same after experiencing the "REAL Housewife's" view of the City. :)

* Cousins left NY on Wednesday, Kate and I left on Thursday for Texas. Wedding time! My little sister, Stephanie got married!!! It was unbelievably beautiful and special in every way. More to come on that, of course.

* The day after the wedding I enjoyed time with my favorite friends - the fab 5 college roomies. What a treat! I literally cannot wait for our times together each year. They were each at the wedding and so it worked out that we could piggy back our time together in Dallas. We talked, laughed, cried, prayed, and ate...a lot. Press "repeat" and that sums up our fantastic 24 hours with each other. No better way to spend a 24 hours in my book. Some favorite memories were ordering room service for dessert at midnight and eating next to Troy Aikman at Mi Cocina. Hee hee. Love you girls more than you know!!

* So, we get back from Texas and it's already time for April. Are you kidding!? What just happened?!
