Have I told you about my sister?
She is one of those people that you meet and you walk away saying, she is one of the most beautiful people I have ever met - inside and out. Beautiful. Stunning. Exquisite. She is gorgeous, but what is even more beautiful is her sweet, compassionate and sensitive heart. She is one of those people who is always thinking about the other person and is willing to serve them at any cost if she knows it will make them happy. A true servant and so completely loyal.
Stephanie is a sister who I have always admired (except the time I disowned her for writing on my polo shirt in middle school). She strives for excellence in everything she does. She is also one of the most talented people I know. Some of you are wondering if she's my real sister because she is so tall and beautiful and talented. Yes, she really is, I promise.
I mean - who has the choice in high school as to whether they want to be a cheerleader or the captain of the drill team? Who can sing Christina Aguilera in front of their entire student body and not break a single note and sound like a true professional? Who is on the Baylor Dance Team and in Kappa Pickers (a singing group) and tries out singing a song from Phantom of the Opera!? Who can make up an entire broadway production and choreograph every song for hundreds of girls? Who can dance hip hop so well that people question whether she was adopted? My sister. That's who. She is amazing. Amazingly gifted in so many ways.
I love her adventurous side. I love her aspirational side. I love her creative side. I love her funny side. I love her ability to always put things into perspective with her mature and grounded faith. I love her love for music. Any music. I love how much she loves my daughter and my husband. I love her serious business side now. I love her. I so love her. I can't imagine not having a sister like her to live life with and share life with. She is pretty darn amazing.
Happy Birthday, Auntie! Today we celebrate you and the talents God has blessed you with and the ways you will bless Him in this next phase of your life. I hope it's a very special birthday. We love you and miss you terribly!!
