Sometimes I daydream about life in the Hamptons and then I remind myself - oh yea, that's not my life purpose. Oh - but it is SUCH a fun place to visit. Those verses of lust and envy and covetousness definitely hit home for me every time I go out there.
But, I digress.
A few weekends ago, we borrowed a friend's car and headed out of the City as far east as we could possibly go.
We passed through Southampton, Bridgehampton, East Hampton (and every other Hampton in between) and kept on driving until we reached the end of land: Montauk.
There is something exhilarating about that whole as far as you can go on land thing. I highly recommend it. Here are some of my favorite pics from our day as a family.

well ms. kate was just right in her monogrammed sunsuit, i do declare. what else would one wear in the hamptons? what a fun family day. it IS so beautiful there. herb's montauk market has some pretty great chicken too.

OK, so I laugh with Katy about how I'll occasionally check your blog out - so here I am confessing! You have a beautiful family and what an amazing day. K&K are fortunate to have such dear friends in your family! Hope you have a wonderful September!
What a wonderful few weeks you guys have had! The pictures from Montauk and your time in the mountains are awesome. I'm really itchin' to go to the beach now... Those pics really reminded me of N. CA and even Oregon coasts - who knew! Glad you guys are back though :)
